An awesome finale of the series “The Hunger Games Mokingjay 2”



The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 is an American epic science fiction war film. It was directed by Francis Lawrence and the screenplay was given by Peter Craig and Danny Strong. The movie was the fourth and final installment in The Hunger Games film series, and the sequel of two films based on the novel Mockingjay as the final book in The Hunger Games trilogy was written by Suzanne Collins. The movie was produced by Nina Jacobson and Jon Kilik and it was distributed by Lionsgate productions. The first installment of the Mockingjay adaptation, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, was released on November 21, 2014.

The plot of the movie follows Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) as she realizes the stakes are no longer just for survival. Upon this realization, she starts teaming up with her thickest friends, which includes Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), Gale (Liam Hemsworth) and Finnick so they can embark on the final mission. As they collectively go across District 13 to liberate the citizens of war-torn Panem. The plot revolves around the group as they assassinate President Snow, who is Katinss’s ultimate enemy obsessed upon her destruction. The group of protagonists moves through the savage land unknown of what lies ahead with difficulties such as fatal ambushes, ruthless enemies and moral choices that will finally conclude the future of millions.

Critical Reception

The movie received generally positive views from the critics, with praise and admiration aimed directly at the awe-inspiring action sequences and beautiful performances by the cast throughout the movie. Lawrence was specially admired for the first rate acting and appearances. However, the movie was criticized for the source material being split for two different adaptations. Nevertheless, many critics found the movie to be a very proper and conclusive finale to the Hunger Games series.

On the Box Office

By the date of November 24, 2015, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 had grossed $122.6 million in North America and $144.5 million in other territories for a worldwide total of $267.1 million, against a budget of $160 million. The worldwide opening of the movie earned $247.2 million, making it the twenty fourth biggest opening of all time.
